Expanding Break Dance among the Youth
Break Dance is one of the great extreme sports of the world. We are a Break Dance Crew 'New life' from Central Asia, traveling around the world to teach Break Dancing and launch new crews. We also want to deter young people from using Drugs, Alcohol, Cigarettes etc. and to challenge them rather to develop their bodies and a healthy lifestyle and also to help other youth who are suffering from the effects of addiction. I am Bboy Ilyos, 23 years old. I’ve been dancing Break dance for 6 years. Before I was very bad boy, I started to smoke from age 5 to 17 and got involved in alcohol, stopped going to school. When I turned 18 I went to an orphanage where young guys were Dancing Break Dance and I asked them to teach me to Break Dance. 2 years later in 2002 we held Break Dance competition in Central Asia where 8 Break dance crews took part and up to 800 youth came to watch. We had a wonderful time dancing. We also won the Battle competition. I will never forget that day. Also as Break Dance winners we had a desire to help other youth to learn to Break Dance. Break Dance changed my life and brought me into new level of life. Peace
